GLACIER RANGE RIDERS ON A THREE-GAME WIN STREAK AT HOME, BOISE HAWKS HEAD TO FLATHEAD FIELD FOR SIX GAMES.
ONLY 12 HOME GAMES REMAIN IN THE INAUGURAL SEASON.
FLATHEAD VALLEY, MT. – The Glacier Range Riders look to continue a 3-game win streak at home as they welcome the Boise Hawks to Flathead Field for the first time. Boise will be the first-ever team from the PBL's Southern Division to play a game at Flathead Field.
Riders Be Hot: Glacier heads into the week sizzling; they have won three straight games and split a six-game series with the Great Falls Voyagers. After dropping the first three games, Glacier utilized dynamite pitching and clutch bats to scrape together three gritty wins. Tanner Solomon set a team record going 7.2 innings on Friday night and the offense put five runs across in the seventh and eighth innings to win comfortably 7-2. One night later, Noah Barros went seven innings and the Riders pushed across two runs in the bottom of the eighth to set up Justin Coleman for a 1-2-3 ninth and his fourth save of the year. Finally, a brilliant come-from-behind victory on Sunday afternoon was galvanized by a go-ahead home run from newcomer David Kyriacou in the bottom of the eighth and Austin Steinfort retiring the Voyagers in order.
Don't Miss Out: With only 12 home games remaining, this series holds half of all remaining chances to see Glacier in action at Flathead Field. Don't miss your chance to be part of the Inaugural Season of Range Rider Baseball.
About the Opponent: The Boise Hawks have struggled this season with a 22-50 overall record, but the squad from Idaho's state capital have a strong 35-year history. The Hawks have captured six Northwest League titles with the most recent coming in 2004. They have been affiliated with three MLB teams; the Angels, the Cubs, and the Rockies. Notable players that have put on the Boise uniform include Josh Donaldson, John Lackey, Jarrod Washburn, Garrett Anderson, Fransisco Rodriguez, Gleyber Torres, Kyle Schwarber, Daniel Vogelbach, Javier Baez, and Kris Bryant.
One Year Old: On August 16th, 2021, Ridge Run Baseball and the Pioneer Baseball League announced the addition of a Flathead Valley team to PBL, marking the first ever professional sports team to come to the area. In less than a year, a front office was assembled, manager and coaches chosen and a state-of-the-art stadium was built. One year down, and we're just getting going. We can't wait for everybody to join us in the celebration on Tuesday.
Mighty Mo': Livingston Morris has been hammering pitches all season, but the Georgia native has taken it to a different level as of late. After two 440-foot home runs two weeks ago, Morris beat that with a 442 jack on Friday night to help the Range Riders clinch victory. Then on Sunday, he hit a bomb that tallied 444 feet on the yardstick. He is currently second on the team with 13 dingers.
