Clarkson’s Perfect Night Lifts Range Riders to 3-2 Win
KALISPELL, MT - TJ Clarkson went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate, driving in two runs as the Glacier Range Riders edged the Oakland Ballers 3-2 on Friday night at Glacier Bank Park.
Clarkson singled in the first, third, and sixth innings, with his two-run single in the third putting Glacier on the board first.
Both teams received strong performances on the mound. Glacier pitchers combined for 14 strikeouts, while Oakland tallied eight. Luke Schafer earned the win for the Range Riders, tossing six shutout innings with nine strikeouts, five hits allowed, and just one walk.
Oakland's Tremayne Cobb Jr. made the game close in the seventh with a two-run homer to center field, his only hit in four at-bats. Glacier held on, with Rayne Supple earning the save and Luke Cooper adding a scoreless frame in relief, striking out two.
Noah Millikan took the loss for Oakland, allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits over six innings, striking out seven and walking one.
Davis Drewek led the Ballers with a 3-for-4 night, while Daryl Buggs II chipped in with two hits in three at-bats. Oakland also turned a double play defensively.
The Ballers will match up with Glacier again Saturday night, with first pitch coming at 7:05 PM. The night will start with Home Run Derby Night in the PBL, starting at 6:15 PM!
