Range Riders Top Mustangs 6–1 Behind Brennan’s First Pro Win
KALISPELL, Mont. — The Glacier Range Riders strung together another dominant performance Wednesday night, knocking off the Billings Mustangs 6–1 at Glacier Bank Park to even their second-half record at 10–10.
Sean Brennan was sharp in his seventh professional outing, earning his first career win on the mound. The right-hander tossed five strong innings, allowing just one run on two hits while striking out two and walking one. He retired the final seven batters he faced to lock in the milestone victory.
Glacier's offense did its damage early, breaking through in the bottom of the second inning with a string of five consecutive singles. RBI knocks from Gabe Howell and TJ Clarkson helped push across three runs, giving Brennan an early cushion to work with.
Billings responded in the third when Efrain Manzo tripled off the wall in right-center and later scored on a John McHenry sacrifice fly. But that was all the Mustangs could muster against Brennan and the Glacier bullpen.
The Range Riders added two more runs in the fourth thanks to a clutch two-out walk from Kingston Liniak, and tacked on another in the sixth when Paton drove in his second run of the game.
Paton and Millan each had two hits for Glacier, while Liniak, Lynch, Mendoza, and Ratfield all contributed in a balanced offensive showing. Arturo Alvarez took the loss for Billings after allowing five earned runs over four innings.
With the win, Glacier secured its second straight victory and has now held the Mustangs to just two runs combined over the past two nights. The two teams continue their series Thursday evening in Kalispell.
