Bio
Todd Pratt is a former Major League Baseball catcher who played 14 seasons in the Majors from 1992 to 2006, and will be entering his second year as Manager of the Range Riders in 2026. Over his MLB career, he appeared in more than 650 games and was known for his work handling pitching staffs and providing veteran leadership at the catcher position. Pratt was a member of two National League Championship teams: the 1993 Philadelphia Phillies and the 2000 New York Mets, even starting game one of the 2000 Mets-Yankees World Series.
Born in Nebraska, and raised mostly in Chula Vista, California, Pratt joined the Boston Red Sox after high school, when he was drafted by the team in the sixth round of the 1985 draft. He made his MLB debut on July 29, 1992 for the Philadelphia Phillies. In addition to nearly 300 games played at both New York and Philadelphia, Pratt also played one season for the Chicago Cubs and one season for the Atlanta Braves. After retiring as a player, Pratt moved into coaching and baseball administration. He has worked at both the professional and collegiate levels, accumulating more than 37 years of experience in baseball as a player, coach, and instructor. Before becoming the Manager of the Range Riders, Pratt was the Commissioner of the Sunbelt Baseball League, where he oversaw league operations and player development initiatives.
In his first year as Manager for Glacier, Pratt assembled the best pitching staff in franchise history, including a trio of starters that all at least broke one single season pitching record. In addition to that, the bullpen was highlighted by Jacob Hasty, who had the best ERA for any pitcher in a single year in Range Rider history, as well as being named a PBL All-Star. In all, the Glacier arms finished second in the league in ERA with a 5.48 mark, giving Pratt a firm foundation to build on for 2026.
Pratt currently resides in Columbia Falls with his wife Tracy, as well as their two children.
